Time to crack my knuckles and do some work.
So I have become the world champion. Nice. I would say its about time. But world champions are a fickle thing. They never last very long in SFT. I think its just the level of competition. And the fact that its extremely hard to stay on top. There is always someone gunning for you. A huge bullseye on your back that never goes away.
For so long I have gone around saying how I wasnt a hero. And now, well now there are action figures of me, little kids are playing with them and pretending to be me. And I dont know how to feel about that. Success has never been my forte. I’ve always been the underdog. That loveable loser everyone roots for but never takes seriously.
And I am taken aback. I feel as if I am doing something wrong. There is something wrong with this picture. This title should be worn by the likes of Glenn Owen, Redd, Rumpke, but not me. Never me. And some may be watching SFT and thinking how weak this place must be if I am its world champion. And maybe some would have a point. I am this places weakest member. But then I think most places are only as strong as its weakest link. Maybe that is me. Maybe this place needs some weakening so that the rest can get stronger.
And weak as some think that I am. I am stronger than most would suspect. All they have to do is step into the ring with me.
So now this brings me to the tag match this coming week. My partner and I go back a long way, always trying to recruit me into the Wall and each time I told him I couldnt. Because I didnt belong, not then, not now. I have the highest respect for them, they are the caretakers of SFT, the protectors, and this place would not be here today if not for The Wall. So Twilight I consider you a friend. And I know together we can defeat Travis Deacon and Robert Saints.
Speaking of which. Well hello there strangers. How long has it bee. Travis Deacon was the IC champion, and your reign began with a bang and ended with not even a whisper. How the heck does that happen? Was Louis Cypher that much better than you? I think not. But he was when that match happened. And while you were a shining star not too long ago, you have become a faded star. But dont fret my friend, you have a way of redeeming yourself. If you and your partner can muster up the guts to show up and fight, you may yet find your way back into the love of the fans. But should you fail to appear and try your best, they will hate you. They will hate you for a long time.
And next its time for me to address Robert Saints. Oh Robert I know you grow tired of everyone saying the same ole thing about you. How you could be so much better than you are. How you should be wearing this world title. How you should be headlining each show at the main event. How you should be one of “the” guys in SFT. One of its true leaders. Man talk about no pressure am I right?
Listen Robert. Do what you want, be what you want. If you want to try the bare minimum and you’re happy with your standing than more power to you. But if you want to make a serious push towards this title then have it. Dont waste your time wondering what you should do.
Like Yoda said, “There is do and not do, there is no try.” And that my dear Robert is my star wars quote of the day, all for you and only you.
