Because looking backwards does you no good I assure you!
Hi everyone, I thought I would do an update for you all, nice and official like! So here it is and I hope you learn something.
So Reno seems to have stepped away. We wish him well whatever he is up to and thank him for all that he has done.
That does however leave us very short staffed, we’re basically down to me and Joey with Cassandra voting on some matches when needed. That said it’s pretty much been that way, well since about Chaos 3 I would say lol. If any of you guys are ever willing to write matches or vote etc then do let us know. Lucas and Rumpke have been helping out from time to time so we thank them for that.
On a more positive note, we are bringing back Tuesday Night Titans, which I believe is one of SFT’s, if not it’s oldest show (I would refer to Joey on that) I remember it was one of 2 main shows when I joined back in the year 2000, with Friday Night Inferno being the other. I used to produce Titans for a year or so around 2003 so I look forward to pressing it back into action.
On the subject of our shows, I hope you have all enjoyed the new and improved format! I’ve very proud of the work I’ve done with coding the template and producing it each fortnight. Good thing is that I spent all last night make some adjustments and it now looks REALLY good in my opinion. Not only that but it’s just as easy to produce as before, and thankfully training is underway backstage to skill up the staff (and by that I mean Joey) in how to actually help produce the show. He passed his first lesson with flying colors, so pass some Cheetos his way when you next see him lurking around backstage.
One last thing regarding the shows, I’m really keen to keep the comical commercials revolving, so if you want to write some yourselves please feel free to do so. I really don’t mind what they are, think of it as your chance to get your comical thoughts or stupid ideas into the limelight, as I’m not sure for how much longer now people will be willing to hear about Redneck Wilds Patriot Store!
On to other things, well I still have a few things to do with regards to the site. Just small behind the scenes things really. I think the only major work I want to complete now is to add in an extra “SFT History” board, where we can have our Hall of Fame and title histories etc. So stay tuned for that. I’m determined we don’t forget all the wonderful (and even not so wonderful) people who have contributed to this great game down the years, and I think a permanent place to remember them is the least I can do for our legacy, to say nothing of our former dearly departed owner.
On a more personal note, I’m not longer World Champion anymore, so congratulations to Rumpke. You deserve it, although if I was voting I would have clearly voted for me lol. I’m positive that now I’m not the figure head that it will make action pick up a little and maybe even encourage some new people to join the fed. We of course have no strategy whatsoever to find members but that’s not my department lol
I will probably be retiring from the ring now it must be said, unless someone somewhere can goad me back in the ring somehow lol. So once I’ve completed my work on the site and got Joey up to speed on how to produce shows, there is little more I can do after that so I can finally look to step away. But I will keep you updated on my progress and of course give plenty of notice of any final decisions I make.
So until then stay safe everyone, and like I’m sure you are all doing, I will certainly keep all those in Texas within my thoughts during this tragic period.
