: The scene opens on the main event of last Tuesday's Titans. The match approaches its climax as then champ Jay Impact climbs to the top rope. He leaps off with a picture perfect moonsault. However, his intended target, Mike Zybala, rolls out of the way!! Impact crashes to the mat hard but recovers quickly and gets to his feet, though holding his chest in pain. Zybala quickly capitalizes, leaping at Impact with a flying forearm and following it up with a spinning heel kick!
Impact is hurt, but still standing, however woozy! With both men exhausted, Zybala looks to end the match. He pulls Impact into position for a suplex but quickly drags him to the mat with a sudden roll-up pin!! :

Two!
THREE!!!
: The bell rings, and the arena erupts with excitement. :
Announcer: Here is your winner and NEW SFT World Champion….. MIKE ZYBALA!
: Mike Zybala’s music plays as he stands victorious. The ref hands him the SFT World Championship belt. Zybala takes it with a look of slight disbelief in his eyes. He hugs the belt close as he holds three fingers in the air, signifying his third title reigns. Jay Impact, though visibly disappointed, gets to his feet with a smile. He extends his hand to Mike Zybala, who shakes it firmly. Impact then raises Zybala’s hand in the air, celebrating his new champion.
Jay Impact reaches out for the SFT World Championship belt. Zybala looks apprehensive but hands it over, ready to defend himself from a sneak attack. Impact simply looks at the belt wistfully before presenting it back to zybala. Zybala takes it with a nod of appreciation, holding it high as the crowd cheers.
The camera focuses on Zybala holding the title aloft as Jay Impact claps in the background. The show fades for the home audience out with the crowd cheering and celebrating the new champion. The celebration goes on for a few minutes before Zybala makes his way to the back as the fans start leaving the arena. As we get in the back, we see people clapping for Zybala, who has the belt draped over his shoulder. He smiles and wearily waves at the crew. He walks through the halls and passes the locker room. He makes his way to a grouping of offices and boots the one that reads “RUMPKE” open. The office is empty save for the usual furniture. Zybala looks around, notices something hanging on the wall, and slumps into a chair. He rests the Championship on his lap and looks at the wall. :
[/i][/div]Zybala: Hey, man. Been a while, hasn't it? Who'd have imagined I would be back here in 2024, let alone the world champ, again? Sorry it took so long. I honestly didn't know Joey and Rumpke were keeping the old girl alive. I would have come back sooner if I did. After all, this was my first home in the business. You gave me that home. You allowed some snot nosed 18 year old punk with barely any training in here and said “let's see what you got.” Sure, I had Mike Dreamer and AJ Nin Redrum holding my hand through those first months, but I would say I grew up quickly. You thought so too, as you started putting me in title matches. Hardcore, Television, every lower and mid tier title. All the while, you dealt with my constant emails and pestering looking for feedback. I can still remembered your annoyed smile any time I busted into your office.
Then, after 2 years of proving myself, you finally gave me a World title shot against my brother from another mother, Dave Van Dam in Hell in a Cell! You gave me my first pay-per-view main event! And I did the unthinkable and won my first World belt! You gave me that shot, man. These past 21 years wouldn't have happened if you didn't believe in me. I owe my career to you. Granted, you never gave me that match against you that I always wanted. You held it like a carrot, always saying maybe later. Sadly, later never came.
And here we are, in 2024, and I'm still bugging you. I'm back in your baby, and let me be honest, boss. The roster isn't what it used to be. I mean, I've steam rolled over everyone except Travis Deacon Hall. He's the only one here that's been able to beat me. He's the only here that's proven worth my time. And now that I'm the champ again, he's gonna be my first challenger! Now some people would be worried, but I'm not. I look forward to fixing my last mistake and putting him in his place behind me. I just got this belt and I ain't letting it go. I promise You, I will bring prestige back to not only the world title but to SFT as a whole. I'll make it the must see show it once was. I'll make you proud again, Old Man. Your baby is in good hands with Mikey Z as your world champ!
Anyways, sorry for word puking all over you. You earned your rest. Sorry I missed the funeral. Just consider every win I rack up as me leaving you flowers.
: Zybala stands up from the chair and walks to the wall. He lightly taps the title against the wall before leaving the office. The camera pans to the wall to reveal a poster of SFT founder, father, and legend, Shadow as the scene fades to black. :
Look who's back on top, folks. Just like I said. Exactly where I belong. Your SFT World Champion! I promised Jay that the only Impact that would be happening is me taking the belt and here we are. Me as a three time World champ and a disappointed person left in my wake. Beating Impactless for the second time bring my current SFT record to 5 and 1…
It's that “one” that really gnaws at me. The one blemish on an otherwise perfect record. One off night is what stood before me and being a double champion. One night where the other guy was better. One night that will not happen again.
Trav; I don't care if you don't want me calling you Trav, you are a great wrestler. You proved that when you pinned me. You showed that you can hang with one of the best. Not just in SFT, but one of the best in the business. I've collected gold and Hall of Fame status everywhere I've gone. Owners and fed heads beat down my door, blow up my phone and spam the shit out of my email. Take pride in that. You beat an all-time great the night you beat Mike Zybala. Undoubtedly, it was one of the greatest nights of your career when you took the Hardcore title from me and pinned me clean. However, it won't happen again.
I'm a forever student of the game. I'm always learning, evolving, and improving myself. I've always believed in never being perfect. Perfect means you plateaued and become stagnant. Perfect means you don't grow any more. I always shoot to be better. Be better than you were yesterday and to be better the next day. Never stop never stopping. Learn from the mistakes and fix them going forward. You are my mistake, Trav. Losing to you was a teachable moment. You proved you were better the Impactless and Mr. Never Been Amazing in His Life. So I just have to be better.
I know what to expect this time around. And my baby is sleeping through the night more, so I get more sleep myself. That's right, Trav. You'll be facing a fully rested Mike Zybala this time. That means your dreams of hoisting MY world title are going to be a nightmare, and I don't mean the old SFT poser who I used to feud with. At Titan, you will join an illustrious list of who's who, Hall of Famers, and all time greats. A list of people who have fallen at my feet. You beat me once, it WILL NOT happen again. I promise you that. You will join the likes of Dave Van Dam, Rico Smith, Megan the Monster, AJ Nin Redrum, and lesser names like J.C. Stubs, The Necrophile, and even lower like Mr. Amazing, and know what it's like to get your ass not only handed to you, but gift wrapped and personally signed by Mike Zybala. The only way I'm losing this title is when I choose to retire, try to take the title with me back to my house and Joey forces me with legal action to give it back.
