The are somethings in the world that are complete givens. The Yankees will compete for a penant each year. Donald trump will be a douche 24/7. That if you sing Nothing but a good time by Poison people will smile and sing along, same goes for certain Journey songs.
My point is, there are somethings that are givens. Somethings are automatic. Glenn you have beaten guys like DVD, Legion, and Shadow himself. (Yes I read old results matches). Those guys have gone beyond just legends, they have become myths, and myths are a step away from something most of us will never reach. I thank you for your kind words but I dont think I can ever even come close to you. I dont have the god given skills and talent you have. I dont have the killer instinct. Or that vicious side. Me, I am just in it because I wanted to try something different in my life. The reality is this Glenn. Some of us will never be world champions or be known world wide. Its not that we dont want that or wish that for ourselves. Its just that life for us turned out different. I got married young, had my son at a young age, got divorced at a young age and became a single dad soon after. My life ended pretty quickly. And you too will realize once you have a child your dreams take a backseat. All you care about is being a good dad, protecting your child, making sure they have everything they need. Because our own needs no longer matterred.
You see Glenn I could of worked harder to be a better wrestler. But that wasnt a priority with me. Not then not now. I could of sacrificed and I could of focused on only being the best. But I have mouths to feed. I have people relying on me. So I would rather work in a warehouse in JCPenny than be the best wrestler. But to be honest I just am not as good as others. Thats not me trying to put myself down or be humble, its the truth.
They say the truth will set you free. Its quite so dramatic for me. I just believe that if you are honest about yourself then you will be honest in all other facets of life. And what else can I say. It is an honor facing you Glenn, and yes you too Jackson. Even thought you've been eerily quiet for this main event, you do realize that we have a shot at the world title right?
Anyway maybe in another life things might have been different. But Glenn I dont regret my life or my choices. I am happy with who I am.
