Let me see...where shall I start? What a quandry I'm in. But not one of my making. Society, life, circumstance....hell, blame anything or anyone but me! Yeah.. that's what seems to be going on.
Since the 1980s(I know they may seem like ancient times to some) the quality of life has been declining.
Back in the day we used to sit and talk about things with each other. I mean we were in actual proximity to each other and making eye contact. A heart felt sentiment wasn't expressed with a text or stated with an LOL, or some shit like that.
Don't get me wrong....I am not completely against these advances, but you have got to admit kids are dumber(to put it politely)now more than ever.
We used to have to be able to spell our own words. Today, all we have to do is know the first letter of the word and a few screen taps later...VOILA! Our word is automatically spelled for us and thoughts completed as well.
We used to have to crack open a book in a LIBRARY to do what was called BOOK reports. We would have to actually read from several sources(encyclopedias,magazines)to then put them into our own words what the subject meant to us. Nowadays I'm pretty sure 60-80% of young people don't even know what a library is. All they know is how to cut and paste.
Mindless....
And thus the quality of life is on the downslope.
Much like your wrestling Rumpke....on a downslope. Snowballing into chaotic defeat at my hands.
