e lights dim, the fans get louder and louder. A band comes out of the shadows, a slow guitar solo hits.
JC: I know that song.
RW: Very familiar
The lights come up and its Metallica!
RW: Whoa
They play Battery, the fans go nuts!
JC: Nice, nice
The song finishes the band retreats. And we wait for the fans to finally settle down.
RW: Well folks, dying time is here
JC: Two men enter, one man leaves.
They both laugh in unison.
RW: We have quite the night tonight.
JC: Thats right so lets get to it.
James Flame vs. Saint Jude (standard match)
Jude comes out to the ring first, slowly as the crowd raises their hands in the form of a circle.
RW: The last of them.
Jude gets into the ring and patiently waits. Save yourself by Stabbing Westard hits as James Flame is supposed to come out.
JC: Whats going on?
The song keeps playing but he still does not come out.
RW: I guess he’s saving himself?
Winner: Saint Jude via no show.
(Cut to commercial for Trix Breakfast cereral)
When we get back from commercial we see all three men already in the ring and set to go.
RW: This should be an interesting match.
The bell rings and Cypher starts it off with a running forearm on Jack then a knee kick to Rumpke. The fans boo.
JC: No one likes Cypher
RW: I like Cypher
JC: Of course you do
RW: What does that mean?
JC: Nothing nothing
Cypher with a quick scoop slam then a running powerbomb on Jack, the ring shakes.
RW: Oh my!
Cypher is about to go for the pin when Rumpke double axe handles Cypher in the back. Rumpke now with a tilt a while slam then picks up Cypher and hits a nice piledriver!
JC: The classics never get old
Rumpke for the cover the ref counts 1………….2…………….kickout!
Rumpke gets up and locks in a figure 4 leg lock on Cypher. Cypher now in a world of pain. But then Jack comes into the picture and kicks Rumpke in the face, thus breaking the hold.
RW: A few more seconds and it would have been over.
JC: Agreed
As Rumpke gets up and bullrushes Jack into the corner. Jack is able to rake the eyes then drop kicks Rumpke to the outside of the ring.
JC: Whoopsie Dasie!
Cypher advances on Jack and Jack simple elbows Cypher down to the mat. Jack helps Cypher to stand up and hits a reverse russian leg sweep!
RW: dang!
Jack covers Cypher the ref counts 1…………..2………….3!!!
Winner: Jack Jones via pinfall
RW: Pretty good match.
JC: Indeed
RW: coming up is our main event
Rockhouse by Frank Shelley plays over the arena as Travis Deacon Hall makes his way out to the ring followed by his wife Melissa Hall.
He is met by a mix of boos and cheers from the crowd but mostly boos.
Travis gets into the ring and he patiently waits as his wife exits then Kryptonite hits and the fans errupt.
World champion Emerson Embry makes his way down to the ring. Along the way he stops for pics with the fans, signs a few autographs and hugs a few fans.
RW: you think he likes the attention?
JC: I think he likes and appreciates the fans.
They stand toe to toe as the ref goes over the rules. The bell rings and we start.
Travis starts it off with a backhanded fist, then a quick gut kick then a DDT!
JC: Oh no!
Travis with a quick cover the ref counts 1………...2………….kickout!
RW: It was almost over just as it began.
Travis now with a diving elbow drop, then he picks up Emerson and is going for a running powerbomb but Emerson trips him up.
RW: Wow Emerson was upside down and knew to trip up Travis’s legs.
Emerson and Travis get up, Emerson with a drop kick then powerslam!
JC; Emerson has been working out
Emerson with a cover the ref counts 1………….2………….kickout!
RW: Close but no cigar
Emerson now waits for Travis to get up and when he does, Emerson locks in a sleeper hold.
RW: Uh oh.
JC: Nighty nite for Travis.
The fans can feel the end is close.
Emerson keeps applying pressure and the ref keeps checking on Travis to see if he is still awake. Travis’s wife keeps yelling at the ref so when the ref does turn towards her we see Robert Saints come running down to the ring gets in there and cold clocks Emerson with a foreign object!
RW: wow
And just as quickly Robert exits the ring, Travis turns and covers Robert, the ref counts 1………...2………….3!
JC; Whoa that was uncool
Winner: Travis Deacon Hall via pin
RW: This is not over not by a longshot. There is a reckoning coming and I hope Travis is ready for the windfall that will be heading his way.
JC: Goodnight folks see you in two weeks
