The fire is dying down. Its late. And how many campfires have I been at in my lifetime? Too many to count that is for sure. There is something pure and wonderful and simple. All food cooked over an open flame tastes great. That smoke seems to purify the meat, its like how it all food should be. Doesn't matter if you are cooking venison, or beef, chicken, rabbit, snake, whatever your fancy it is sure to be delicious. I figured Id go out with my horse and get a day of solitude. Its hot during the days but the nights sure are fine. Not too warm, definitely not cold. Just nice.
Camping out during the summers is always a tiny bit risky, you got rattle snakes, coyotes, wolves, wild boars. All sorts of critters trying to get at you or get at what you might be cooking. Hunger is a powerful thing no matter what kind of creature you are. Hunger is the great equalizer, can make the tiniest thing a giant given the right incentive.
And hunger is what we are talking about right now. Like my opponent Eli Martin. Came in to SFT and just started taking names, but now that hes been holding the HC title for a while, that hunger has faded into complacency.
Eli you are not the same anymore, and I think you know it. You lost a step real quick. Once you looked like a shining start and now you seem bland, like day old coffee. Just bitter and cold.
But that's OK there Eli. I am here to help you find your mojo again. See you seem to think the world owes you a debt of gratitude for being such a great warrior. Truth o da matter is that no one owes you a thing. Seems that lately SFT has become a second afterthought for you. Heck had you tried a little harder you probably would of advanced in the Lethal Lottery. But no, you phoned it in and you and your partner both did that and you guys lost. You got no one to blame but you. And so now here you have me, a guy you’ve been chasing since almost the start. So now that you have me what now? You seem to have made me your white whale, your desperado, your billy the kid. But I am just no one. What we do in the ring is not personal. Never has been with me. Just part of the game ya know? But you want to make this personal, that's OK, I’ll be your huckleberry. But you better be careful what you wish for, you just might get it.
So Eli question is what are you going to do once you get me on Titans. Repeat performance for the last time we ran into each other, or are you gonna phone it in like if you were ET?
