The scene is an United Airlines flight. Emerson is strapped in. Way before the seatbelts sign is on and way before the safety video is on.
I hate flying. I totally despise it. Its not that I have never flown, but its rare for me. I do not like it. I feel really nervous. As if the plane will fall out of the sky and I will blip out of existence. I know the statistics and that its way safer than driving. But still. That's all I can say is but still.
Now to add to that nervousness is that hardly anyone has made an appearance thus for their Lethal Lottery match ups. I hate deadliners. People who always procrastinate for some reason. Then the last two days they show up and flex supposed muscles haha.
I have even reached out to my partner asking if he will doing 1 or 2 promos and so far no response. Teamwork is key, communication is key, and I am doing my part. Hopefully the rest of SFT takes notice and do what I am doing.
The stewardess finishes her little speech and shows us the safety video that no one seems to be paying much attention to. Everyone has their masks on for the most part. Its quite uncomfortable right now to say the least. Flying with a bunch of strangers on a flying bus in the sky. Jeez.
We start to gain momentum as the plane starts to move. And my stomach starts to turn over within itself. I feel like I might puke.
And that feeling is coming on quite often. I have been feeling so nervous now that Accountant hasn't been seen or heard from since last week. Where art thou oh Accountant. The plane lifts off and I grab hold of my seat as if I were riding a bull.
The person two seats over is looking at me and just laughing. Hes just a kid no more than 15 years old.
Kid: Aren't you a wrestler? After all the stuff you do in the ring, this scares you?
Em: yes and I am also afraid of clowns, what of it?
Kid (laughing hard): I was a little nervous myself but not after watching you, hahahahaha.
Em: Glad I could help.
I go back to minding my own business. And right now I just have to have faith that Accountant will come through and carry his end and help us advance to round 3.
But right now I have to concentrate on Eli Martin who seems to have lost the wind beneath his wings, he lost in the first round, the luck gods took pity on him and now he’s won a reentry into the 2nd round and he is totally wasting it. So much for taking advantage of said opportunity, wasting it worse than he did in round 1.
Then there is Robert Saints. Robert you had a chance at the world title. Had you tried a little bit harder you might be the world champion right now. But I will be honest you tried really good in the first round of the Lethal Lottery and you are partly to thank as to why your team moved on. Now the question will be are you able to help your team advance to the 3rd round. And the answer to that will be no. This is as far as you go my friend. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but just like when you faced me last month, you will once again fall short of goal. Sorry but maybe its just not meant to be for you. At least not right now. Everyone was oohing and ahhing when Reno showed up and won, but no one took notice it was a last ditch effort which will be again this week I am sure.
No one really looks awe inspiring or really dominating. Not like me haha
(Em gets up and runs to the bathroom and throws up)
I ain't no superman.
