The year was 1056 AD. We were living off the coast of Greece. We were sheep and lamb farmers but most in our family were fishermen.
I was 14 and a month away from my 15th birthday. We had gotten past the war of Hellen. Times were tough but fish were plenty and our family had loan us what we needed to get our herding farm going. My father was tired of the sea. He feared of things he had seen underneath. I never really believed him. I knew of giant fish that roamed the waters, but they were just fish. My father though thought there were more than just fish under the water.
I grew restless though, and wanted to go back into the water, so I accompanied my uncles deep into the peninsula. So deep we had never ventured that far. We caught plenty of fish, plenty of squid and octopus. We would have enough to feed the entire island if we didnt go back soon, and so we did. Off we went one day on our voyage back we came across something not quite fish, hovering over the waters with its large eyes, not a bird, not a fish, something else. We never made it back home. We were lost, forever. I made my way back to Jeville, where it hunted us till there were no more. I was in the horror that was my home. My true home.
And I guess our home, my home is SFT. And on the newly reformed Inferno I am facing Apokalypse. Now there is no denying that Apok as he is referred to is on a bit of a roll. But all rolls come to an end. And Apok your time is coming to an end on Inferno, your first loss will come at my hands.
But before I get into that, let me be the first to congratulate you on the IC title. No one will deny that you didnt earn it, no matter how you got it. So I wont take that from you. And although our match is non title. To me it is just as important. I always believe its not how you act when you are champion its how you act when you are not champion. I like to try hard, title or no title around me. Thats how I was taught coming into this business so long ago.
You think when people arent watching you that you can get away with things, but thats when they watch you the most. See how you act in the face of hardships. And Apok, I am that hardship coming your way.
I have lived so long, lived so many lives, so many tragedies. Its starting to get to me. Starting to catch up to me, whether I would admit it or not. I am burning out, but this is when I have to try harder and not just skate by like so many others.
I need to get my head in the game and I will be doing that. I am sorry its taken me this long to get to you. Usually I am very prompt. Usually I like to lead the way and get myself and everyone else around me going.
When my uncles and myself ran into that thin in the ocean, we knew it was our end. We fought but it was just a formality. I have fought against those type of things since before the dawn of time. It is my curse I guess to keep reliving the past, reliving Jeville. And I knew to you most of what I am saying is gibberish. But this is my story to tell, I own it. I tell it only in bits and pieces.
1056 was a fine year, I miss that life. I miss a lot.
