Harold: Welcome everyone to another edition of News and Rumors. Today is a joint column being written with me and by Rumpke. We'll also be adding in a new segment for predictions of Titans 78.
Harold: The top headline is that we have a new world champion with Emerson Embry. I believe this to be his 3rd title reign?
*We hear a gulping sound that goes on for a bit before the camera reveals Rumpke who is drinking from a bottle of Crown Royal. Harold clears his throat but Rumpke doesn't stop drinking.*
Harold: Don't drown yourself Rumpke.
*The gulping sound stops as Rumpke removes the bottle from his mouth.*
Rumpke: I'm fine, thanks for your concern.
*Harold shakes his head in disbelief before Rumpke responds.*
Rumpke: Yeah, you're right Harold. Emerson is a three time World Champion and I feel like this is the run where he'll be tougher to beat than he ever has been. Emerson seems very focused right now and his confidence is rising higher than I've ever seen. I'm high on Emerson right now, I hope that he can keep his good run going!
Harold: He's got a tough match up this Titans against Louis Cypher and Reaper; Who is another man that's starting to gain momentum after he obtained the Intercontinental Title.
*Harold pauses.*
Harold: But that is not all we have some exciting returns. We saw Reno Destiny and Cassandra both make their triumphant returns. But that is not all Robert Saints is back and I have to say SFT is getting really really interesting right now.
Harold: If Radiant and Lucas Balkan get off their laurels SFT will be even that much more exciting.
Harold: And if you havent seen yet, we are having some build up with fellow federation, ICW. The beginning of the end for both federations has started, who will be the last one standing?
Harold: Robert Saints has been seen around lately and I've been told that he has signed a new contract with SFT. Welcome back Robert!
Harold: Now lets get to whose Hot and Whose Not!
Harold: Topping the hot list has to be Emerson Embry, he reclaimed the world title and is on a roll. And secondly has to be Reaper who has been on a tear since returning and has claimed the IC title. Last but not least goes to Twilight though he lost the world title he has been perfect the last few months.
Harold: Cold list, first penguin of the night goes to Rumpke, for a hardcore champion he seems to have taken last month off? Any comments Rumpke?
*Rumpke burps and Harold's reaction is to once again shake his head at the drunk one. The strike of a match is heard and the camera pans over to Rumpke who is now lighting up a rolled cigarette. Harold's face gives off an odd reaction after the smoke goes in his face. He smells the smoke and seconds later his face turns red.*
Harold: Are you going to do anything besides get fucked up!?
*Rumpke smile's and seconds later it slowly begins to grow to become a cheesy grin. *
Rumpke: Would you like some?
Harold: No!
Rumpke: Okay, what was the question?
Harold: Nevermind..
Harold: OK going on! The next cold spot goes to Jackson Kent. Hey man, you have gotta get out of your funk quickly friend because you're getting ready to go up against Redd, and he wont give you any leeway at all.
*Rumpke suddenly coughs a few times.*
Rumpke: Oops (cough, cough)..
*With a red face, Rumpke begins speaking.*
Rumpke: I'm sorry Harold, I didn't mean to interrupt you. Please, go on.
Harold: The final penguin goes to me, it takes me too long to do these news and rumors and I should be doing them more often, so I apologize.
Harold: Now that we've got the news and rumors out of the way. I believe we've got a new segment!
Rumpke: Yes we do Harold. Thanks!
*Rumpke sits up in his chair and the camera slightly zooms in on his face. He puts the joint in his mouth, and has a few chews before washing it down with a dark lager in a large glass mug.
Rumpke: Harold and I figured that we'd add a predictions segment to News and Rumors this time. This is a trial so we'll see how it goes. If you determine that you'd like to see predictions with News and Rumors in the future; Please give us a thumbs up!
*Rumpke takes a drink from his mug before continuing on.*
Rumpke: The first match of Titans 78 is one of the first tag team matches that SFT has had in awhile and too be honest with you all. It's about damn time that this has happened! This match will see two dedicated veterans of SFT that have the balls too step up to anyone; The combination of Twilight's and Jack Jone's achievements outweight their opponents; Reno Destiny and Cassandra. With that being said, Reno is a potential hall of famer and his wife; Cassandra, she seemed fiesty at one time but that fire appeared to fade quickly with her last run. Will her light dim as fast this time? I don't know but what I'm sure of is that Reno and Cassandra do have the capability to win this match. Reno has already showed up and appears to be grabbing Cassandra by the hand, leading her in this match.
Rumpke: I've got questions on this match. One is, which Twilight and Reno will show up? If both teams actually go all out at full capacity. I'd give the match to Twilight and Jack Jones but I just don't see these guys going all out on Reno and Cassandra. That's why I'm going to predict that the "Power Couple" will end up getting the victory at Titans 78!
*Rumpke reaches for and grabs the mug once again only to take another drink. Harold clears his throat. Rumpke and the camera focuses in on Harold.*
Harold: Have you ever had Hot Cheetos with your booze? They makes great "Rocks".
*Rumpke nods a little as he smiles.*
Rumpke: I like your thinking Harold but no; I haven't. I'm more of a "Cheetos" kind of guy too be honest with you.
Harold: That's awful! I feel bad for you. Sorry for interrupting you.
*The camera pans back to Rumpke.*
Rumpke: That's not a problem at all. Back to business, the next match of Titans will be Jackson Kent trying to overcome Redd. Jackson Kent is a former World Champion and he's got a lot of potential but he has been on a slump the past month and I honestly don't believe that Big Kent's slump will end this match. Yep, I'm predicting Redd will win this match.
*Suddenly, Harold clears his throat before abruptly saying.*
Harold: Why Cheetos? Hot Cheetos are the red shade of gold!
*A strike is heard and the camera looks back at Rumpke who just lit another joint. The drunk deeply inhales and blows out smoke while saying.*
Rumpke: I prefer to keep things cheesy man. Hot Cheetos aren't cheesy, heck; They aren't even hot.
Harold: Says the man who's already burnt his mouth and throat up with liquor.
*Rumpke interrupts Harold.*
Rumpke: And then some, regardless; Hot Cheetos just aren't my thing but now that you mention it, I've got something for you!
*Rumpke reaches down behind his desk and pulls out a very large bag of "Hot Cheetos"; The drunk tosses the bag over to Harold who's face is brightly glowing at the sight of this bag of red gold. Harold's eyes also grow large and we can see that his eye's are now bloodshot, he catches the bag and opens them. A few seconds go by before he begins consuming the hot cheetos.*
Rumpke: Harold, I don't want to hear any more about these mysterious chicken nuggets. I gave you hot cheetos!
*Rumpke smiles for a moment and during this period in time; He also winks at Harold.*
Rumpke: Anyways, lets get back to the final prediction! Titans 78's episode will see the "World Champion" Emerson kick his world championship reign off in a triple threat versus an SFT Hall of Famer and a decorated veteran. This Reaper is fully capable of nickeling and diming people to death. I'll give him that and while he's got that down pat, I'm not fully sold on Reaper's capability of taking on a man with Emerson's heart. I'm sorry to the Reaper fans out there but I just don't see him walking out with the World Championship. As far as Louis Cypher goes, this guy isn't always lazy; He's very capable of coming at Emerson with one hell of an onslaught out of nowhere but thus far; He hasn't done much besides mostly cuddling the champ.
*Rumpke takes a moment to have another drink from his large glass mug of dark lager.*
Rumpke: This match right here is also a toss up in reality. It just depends on which versions of the competitors show up. Regardless, I've got to make a decision and I'm going to say that Emerson will win this match. Not only is he consistently the harder worker between the competitors in this match but he's also got the most momentum out of these guys. Emerson worked hard for his World Title and yeah; I'm going to predict that "The Ghetto Superman" will find a way to win this match!
