The scene is the lake near his ranch. This place is a godsend. We have fished this place for 3 generations. And since no one lives near us for miles its pretty much just for us. No need for a fishing liscense, no need to pay anyone nor be bothered by anyone. We keep what we catch, we eat what we catch. Lots of good bass and catfish in it, some walleye and some perch as well. And carps the size of small children hahaha
This is where I come to relax and get my thoughts in order. And I have to say that I was a little shocked. I mean your level of honesty really surprised me. Not many people can be that honest about themselves and reveal to the world their most hidden secrets. I applaud you. You have my respect in that regard. And while you are still a despicable man, you are an honest person and if nothing else that means a lot in my world and my eyes.
We live this world the way we want to and good or bad it dont matter much. WE got one live to live and we must live it well. Otherwise what was the point right? Take the fish in this little lake. This is all they will ever know, all they will ever see. A fish might live 7 or 8 years, swim in this lake and either die in the lake and feed other critters in there like snakes or that random alligator or racoon. Or end up in my kitchen on a frying pan. That is it, there is no great beyond, no great sea for these fish to explore, all they know is this one station and that is it.
But not for humans, not for us. We have an entire world, and an entire history in which to explore. We could travel to Costa Rica and explore ruins. Lose ourselves in China or the west indies. We try to live without fear of the unknown. Or at least try to. But fear is something deep within us. And some of us never leave our little corner of the world. We are afraid to go someplace unknown to start over. It is that fear that keeps us in place, fear that makes us marry the girl down the road, be a father, and be content to whither away an old man who never left his home town. Life can be rough, our fear makes it worse.
But Cypher does not have that fear. He actively seeks out the darkest parts of our world. Searching for demons and monsters and things 99 percent of us would rather not even say exist. But he is not afraid, he is fascinated. And what makes a man like that tick? I dont have any answers to that. Nor would I care to take a guess. A man who wants to know the evil of the world, is a man that most of us should steer clear of. But on Titans I will not shy away. I will meet you head on and may da best man win. How you like that Cypher?
That is all I have to say.
