You know when I was a little kid I used to love to listen to David Bowie. I think I had a mixed tape with some of his biggest hits. I never knew how long his career had been but I knew it was long and to this day I still haven't gotten around to listening to all his songs. But every time I watch a movie that has one of his songs I start to sing alone. I especially like Under Pressure.
I guess that song has always been relevant even to Vanilla Ice hahaha. But who am I kidding I will even sing along with Ice Ice Baby. Now the reason I bring up David Bowie is cause I see Louis Cypher in the same light. David Bowie sometimes dressed in drag, David wore many faces many personas like Ziggy Stardust, he was a singer songwriter, an actor, a writer, but all those were just faces he wore for such things, in the 1997 Documentary about his life you see that he was a very down to earth man but when he was on stage he became others.
And that is how I see Louis Cypher. He likes to paint himself the villain, the evil guy of SFT. But underneath it all I know its just an act. Like the nature boy Ric Flair who always strutted and claimed to be a play boy party boy but Ric was actually married had children was a family man, who he portrayed in the ring was just his inring persona it wasn't who he really was. You can see that in this last match in WCW against Sting, they didn't have to wrestle, it was over. But Ric called out Sting for one last match between bitter rivals and secretly good friends.
So Cypher, Mr. Evil, you want me to play along I will, that is fine with me. You see I have always considered name calling to be a bit childish. I don't need to say you are trash and worthless and a waste of time. Why? What would be the point of all that? We let our skills and our wills do the talking in the ring. Am I wrong? I do not think I am.
Christmas Eve is tomorrow. So I will show a little bit of good will and wish you Cypher a Merry Christmas. I also want to wish all of SFT a Merry Christmas. And I will have more to say on Thursday or Friday.
