The scene opens up inside the Comfort Inn (Downtown Des Moines). He's sitting at the table while watching Emerson's latest rp. The slow and useless beginning to his promo makes Rumpke yawn. A yawn becomes a stretch while Emerson continues on with another boring performance. Rumpke's eyes grow heavy listening to this junk that has nothing to do with the match. Rumpke sits up straight before he cracks the wooden table with his head just so he can stay awake during this enlightenment to what is Emerson's favorite holiday, treat and other useless information that Emerson continues to bore all of us with. Rumpke reaches into a cooler resting in the other seat that is next to the now cracked table. He pulls out a bottle of Snake Venom. The drunk pops the top off the bottle before quickly chugging the worlds strongest beer. Once finished, he shivers for a moment and then livens up to the point where he gladly shuts the television off.
I'm glad that's over with.. Honestly Emerson, who do you think cares about what your favorite this or that is? No one cares Emerson.. Not a one of us. So please do us a favor and cut out all of that useless filler. I realize that you would hardly have a promo if you cut that trash out but at least you'd learn to grow your shoot more. Yes, I said shoot. The type of promos that you claim to have been doing for years. Based off what I've seen. You hardly shoot on people and I'm not talking about your WWE/AEW/TNA definition of shoot. I'm talking about the efed version of shoot. When you shoot on characters as a character but I guess we could go your way as well. Either way, it doesn't matter. I've been shooting on you Emerson. Take the things however you want; In character or out of character. Either way, it doesn't really matter because I have been shooting on you! Most, if not all that I've had to say came from somewhere, there was some driving force in my mind behind those words. I didn't just blindly continue to repeat myself just like you haven't blindly repeated yourself with all the ways you want to talk about change and the new ways.. That came from somewhere didn't it? See what I mean?
Anyways back to what I was saying before I had to plant that in there for you. You hardly shoot on people Emerson; Unless you think that all of those one too two lines of weak shoot is shooting? I'm betting you do and that's sad. You're too passive man. You've got to grow some balls and start pushing everyone to show. This is the first time I've seen you try this hard in quite a while. Would you of tried this hard if I hadn't of kept pushing you? If I had stopped after one, would you of rose up and carried the show? No you wouldn't of. Your lazy ass would've sat there with one or maybe two and you would've been happy with that but look at you now. You've put some effort into this titans. As far as I can remember, you've broken your personal best (effort wise) You should be proud of yourself as far as effort is concerned. Your welcome Emerson. Now if only we could get you to consistently do this no matter who you're up against. If only we could get you to actually shoot on people and get them to follow(feed off of) you like your following (feeding off of) me.
As far as being the last from the old days.. I can remember at least one other here at this time from the old days (Redd). Saint Jude also if we're including inactives that might return one day. I can't believe that you forgot about your mate Emerson.. Shame shame.. You better go apologize Emerson otherwise he might just wipe the floor with you easily instead of patting you on the ass next time you face him.
Anyways, Emerson; You've got to start stepping up like this constantly. Challenge people, challenge yourself. Quit relying on old timers like me to come back and create a spark for you because A.) you've been around long enough now. You should already have a spark to compete instead of roll over like you do half of the time; And B.) I'm not always going to be around to pick up your slack. This right here, there's nothing fun about it too me anymore. It's a huge money pit for me. I've spent enough money to be here that this place could've had it's site paid for a very long time.. Not only the money, it's not good for my health. All of the drinking, and smoking that goes into this shit is unrealistic and after I'm done here. The night doesn't normally stop for me. I move on and risk even more sometimes, like my freedom. So when someone tries to use a useless introduction to compare this place to fun. When someone says that I suck all of the fun out of being here. I really don't care because as far as I'm concerned; There isn't a fun thing about this place for me anymore besides Joey and his mysterious chicken nugget rants lol!
With that being said. I am worried about this place. I've been watching as you information/new era writers continually celebrate mediocrity and it simply makes me sick to think that this place has fallen so far.. If I wasn't worried about the piss poor shape this place is/has been in lately. I wouldn't be pushing myself to come back but I've made up my mind that I'm going to give one more short go and after that; I'm letting go because I have to for me. I'm not here for me, for my fucking amusement. I'm not here to try to make you feel awful when I cut you done. I'm here right now because your lazy ass that says you've got heart won't do shit besides baffle your opponents (one time every two weeks USUALLY) with once again USELESS GARBAGE! You shoot? Please, don't kid yourself Emerson... I've seen you rp for awhile, even when I wasn't here I would still look in. If you call what you've done shoot then you're definition of shoot is sad..
With that being said. I do hope that you learn to shoot better. I don't dislike you but I do believe that you're lazy and satisfied with mediocrity. After all, if you wasn't complacent then you would be trying to get better. You've got some skill in creative writing but you need shoot also. Take Redd for example Emerson. That guy, he is very good at creative writing but when it comes down to it; That man can also shoot a person into the ground. Improve your shoot and you'll get "closer" to being ready to take Redd on when he's actually coming at you hard, and not the pat on the ass that he tends to give you as well as most people around here!
Quit being satisfied with what is next to nothing Emerson, push yourself to get better, push people around you; Consistently! That's all I've got for you tonight besides these last comments. Please quit telling me to change (You've said that every promo), it's not going to happen because I'm fine with my approach to writing promos. My style, it undeniably gets results!!! It's you who needs to change Emerson.. Good night/morning!
