Scene opens up with Emerson sitting in front a TV. Its Sunday afternoon. Its nice weather outside, but he only wants to sit and watch TV.
"The funny thing about TV is that its set up for us to spend as much time as you want in front of it. We will sit and watch for hours and hours. We will eat too much while in front of it, we will forget to eat when in front of it. We will forsake sleep and rest all for the god that is TV. Our minds, our hearts, our very souls given to he who is TV. Funny if it wasnt true.
But the find is a fickle thing, a decade ago it was all about dramas, then later came reality TV shows that were anything but. Anyone remember Jersey Shore? God I hope not, that was simply terrible, I felt ashamed to watch TV, so I searched high and low and almost every channel had reality tv shows, I felt like stopping altogether but I didnt, and today here I am still sitting in front a TV, I was 4 when I started and am 34 now. I love TV, it keeps me warm, keeps me company, keeps me safe. It is all encompassing.
And before anyone says anything, I havent forgotten you Reno. Yes I know I have a match with you. But lets face it, the chances of you showing up or small to nil and small left town. hahaha. I joke cause I care, but no not really. Trey who are you? And why should I stop watching Spongebob or Dr. Ken, or Legends of Tommorrow for you? Give me one good reason and I will get up from in front of this TV and actually train and study up on you. Just one reason, doesnt even have to be a good reason, just any reason will do.
Harold told me if I got my butt up from this sofa and did something to prepare for my upcoming match he would give me a bag of hot cheetos. But I said no, I like doritoes and cream cheese, not hot cheetos hahaha.
Anyway thats all I really have to say, TV>Trey Ellis, simple as that."
And we fade to black with Emerson still watching TV and laughing his butt off, we are unaware if he is laughing at the show on TV or at Trey Ellis.
