The year is 1544. The world was at war. Italy was being torn apart in a war on its own land. King Henry VIII of England besieges and captures Boulogne in northern France. Charles the V invades eastern France again. And the Mongols were burning down China.
Those were but a few things that went on that year. So many wars, so much fighting and unless you know your history you never really know just how much war were waged in this world.
My name was Sean. I lived in Scotland at the time. We were always getting raided and imposed on, it became second nature. We worked for a farmer, he planted wheat. We always had bread, we never went hungry. I used to run through these large forests when I was a kid. I would look up and think there was magic in these woods. I would make believe there were goblins and fairies who inhabited the woods. And if I were worthy they might one day appear to me, and show me the world beneath the world. Life the veil for me and help me see the world for what it really was.
That never happened. One day I went into the woods and I never came back out. My parents spent weeks searching for me but to no avail. I was gone. I was never heard from again. On the day I died I found not fairies and goblins but monsters and mists, shadows and nightmares. I was in awe even if I was terrified. I was in Jeville, ahhh home sweet home.
And that brings me to SFT and specifically this coming Titans. On Titans I will be facing Reaper for the world title he currently holds and Robert Saints. And now do not get me wrong, both are worthy opponents but I doubt either is world title material. Reaper still has a lot to learn and Robert, well Robert one day he can be the best in the world, the next he can be the worst. He is totally inconsistent with his efforts. But at the end of the day at least he show up.
SFT has always been a mixture of dreams and fantasies of nightmares and the bizarre. And yet for all its falasies it is still home. I would rather be here than anywhere. Beause even with a handful of wrestlers its still better than the alternatives.
There is no place like home.
