Twilight is seen at a carnival. You see the Tilt a whirl, the Graviton, the merry go round, the Hammer, so many other rides, there are carnies trying to get you to play their games, and while very few win, which is the point I suppose, everyone seems to be having fun. You can smell the food, corndogs, popcorn, cotton candy, frozen lemonades, cracker jack.
Its been ages since I had even wandered into a carnival. But something called me in to this place today. So early Friday evening and here I find myself. As I wander about. I take in all the sights and sounds and smells. It takes me back to 1953.
My name was Jacob Gins. My father was a construction worker. My mother took care of the house. And in the summer of that year we went to the fair, much like this one. It was a Saturday evening and we had a great time, my little sister Janice needed to go to the bathroom so my mom went with her. I wanted to go into the hall of mirrors, my father said it was OK for me to go. I was 12 I was practically a teenager. So I gave the carnie my ticket and in I went. I loved the labyrinth and trying to find your way out. I wanted to get to the end, because at the end you would see the final mirrors, it would show you how you would look tall, short, fat, I found it extremely funny. Halfway through the hall, I come across a particular section. I saw hundreds of people in the mirrors, all looking around lost. All looking at me, they were all different ages and ethnicity. I didn't know it at the time but they were all me, variations of me, past present and yet to come. Each life I had had or would have.
I was overcome by it, by the realization that I was just temporary. It was a nightmare, and then the world went black. I felt hands come across my mouth and that it was it, a short time later I was extinguished, and I was back in Jeville.
I wondered how my father and mother reacted to my disappearance. How my little sister grew up without her big brother. It made me sad. But eventually I was reborn again and again and I lost those memories.
But now in this carnival those memories are back. Nightmare or reality, whose to say?
Reaper I enjoyed your last promo. Dreams can be quite the thing cant they? We can interpret those in any way we see fit. Our subconscious can help us deal with lingering thoughts in our heads. We deal with them in our own ways, in our own dreams.
Reaper you are finally starting to come alive, you are understanding what it takes to be in SFT and to be its champion. That is good. Consider me your next test, your next great test and for your sake I hope you pass. There is no room for failure, and failing will not be allowed. Understand? I hope you do.
That is all.
