We are here where earth meets heaven in the belt of the country. My home my love, Oklahoma. When I was a child I used to hate living here. There was nothing to do. No one to play with since I was an only child. It was a lonely secluded life. But as I got older I began to appreciate the life I was born into. I was lucky. It was not a curse. I got to see the world before it got too busy. I got to live a quiet life that was not full of noise. I got to live.
For those who have lived in the city you know how fast and at times all encompassing it can be. Sometimes you feel like you cant even think. Much less breath. Life moves too fast in the city. But on a ranch or a farm, life moves slow. Really slow. There is no hurry to do anything, time is all you have and plenty of it.
And life is so simple. Nothing but simple. You wake, you work, you eat, you sleep. Pretty much in that order. And when time allows you go off to fish, or hunt. For older people they drink and sleep. And life becomes rather simplistic to the point some might call boring. But boring is good. Boring you can count on.
And that is me in a nutshell. Some people like to call me boring. And maybe I am. But I am someone who can be counted on. And in this day and age, someone you can count on is something worth having. Something special. And I hope my holding the SFT World title shows that.
But each time I step in the ring I need to prove that. And this week that test comes against the one and only Robert Saints. I hope Robert is able to appreciate the situation we are in. He holds the IC title, I hold the world title, we should be examples here not deterrants. We should be an example. We should pave the way. And I fully intend to do my part.
Question is will you do your part? Robert you have gotten very lucky, the booking has been in your favor when your title is on the line you do what you do and retain. When it hasnt been on the line you seem to just not care. And that aint right. We need to do better, and be better. Do you agree? I hope you do.
There are times in our lives we keep in our hearts forever. And then there are times when we feel time will never hurry. Dark hurtful times that we wish we could forget and most past from.
I am in my light years. Good years when things seem to be going pretty good. But I know bad times are just around the corner, they always are. We just gotta hope the good times outweighs the bad times and make the best of our situations.
So thats that for today. Working on how its gonna be next week and such things. So Robert I look forward to your response and most importantly I look forward to your efforts. Lets show this place why we hold the titles we do.
