Time seems to be getting away from me. And I don’t like that.
Hello everyone. My name is Emerson Embry. For a while before I jumped into SFT I thought of using the nickname “The Emissary”. I am not sure why though. Maybe I thought I could sound a lot more cooler and sophisticated. But the problem was I wasn't really clear as to what an Emissary was? So I let that go pretty quick.
After watching some Star Trek Deep Space Nine, I was informed that an Emissary is just a representative sort of like an Ambassador. And while all that is all pretty fine and OK, I am nowhere near anything so fancy. So I just stopped looking for a codename/nickname/cool wrestler name and just stuck to Em. And I think it worked out OK.
But now without wanting it I have become a sort of ambassador for SFT, a bridge between the working class folks and those of a higher calling. But lets not brand me as Emissary yet. SFT is in a dark place right now. We are hurting, but just like in life, bad times do not last forever. We will get past this. We will endure.
One way or another we will continue. Doesn't matter if its just 5 or 6 of us or 15 or 16 of us. Those who love this place will always help it, those who don't care about it will continue to do nothing as they have always done. Nowadays no one cares about anything or anyone. Everything is just temporary. I hate how people are. I am not nor will I ever be like that. People like that should get beat up just on principal alone.
The world has changed quite a bit in the last few years. Changed quite a bit for us all. But for people like myself and Jack Jones, we kept on, in the face of loss, in the face of mourning and personal hardships. It would have been easy for us to walk away when Shadow passed away. SFT has never been the same since. And we miss him now almost 3 years later we still miss him. I don't know if that feeling will ever go away.
But somehow we kept on going. Even when lesser people allowed SFT to be locked out from us. When they let lesser people take control and try to silence the last founding father. Man Id rather be in a SFT with 8 wrestlers than a fed full of what was going on back then.
But I guess I am just a basic guy. And basic guys like me like things nice and simple. So let me simplify things for you all. Right now I am the world champion until I am not. Until someone else takes this title from me. It could be Jack Jones next week or Redd the following card or maybe Robert Saints or Reno Destiny. One never knows when your time is up, so we gotta make the most of it. One never knows when it’ll be our last.
But right now I need to focus on one person and one person only. Cowboy Jack Jones. I have nothing but respect for you. And you know that. I have nothing but respect for anyone in this place. Because what we do is not easy. What we do we do out of love. And so Jack you must understand that in order for you to take this title from me you will have to pry it from my hands. And most importantly you will have to earn it.
So come Tuesday Night Titans you and I will have a show down and we will put on a good show. Hopefully a great show. So that our friends up high smile at us and we show them that they are not forgotten. Are you with me Jack?
