Some old forgotten Rolling Stones song starts to play and the show has a bit of an 80s feel maybe even 90s. We see Randy and John come out and take their respective seats.
RW: Awww man can you feel that excitement, electricity in the air.
JC: New year, new show, cant beat that.
RW: Folks lets forgo the formalities and get this show on the way.
JC: First match of the night is a newcomer Omni.
Omni vs. Jamo vs. Twilight (triple threat match)
All three men are in the ring as the bell sounds off. Omni starts it off with a running clothesline on both Twilight and Jamo.
RW: lookit the rookie strike first.
Omni with a leg drop on Twilight followed by a forearm on Jamo. But Twilight gets up fast and nails Omni with a spinning heel kick!
JC: uh oh.
Twilight stands Omni up and hits a reverse Russian leg sweep! He connects!
RW: nice!
Twilight covers Omni as the ref counts 1……………..2……………...3!!!!!!!
JC: And that is all she wrote.
RW: Next match up.
Reno Destiny vs. Robert Saints (non title match)
(We cut to commercial when we get back Reno and Robert are both already in the ring)
The bell sounds off as Reno and Robert start to brawl in the middle of the ring. The brawl spills out of the ring as the ref starts counting 1……………….2…………….punches are being thrown, eyes are being raked……….3………………………..4……………………..5………………...6……….heads are being headbutted…...7…………………..8………….
RW: I don't think they are gonna make it back into the ring.
…...9………………..10!!!!!!!!!
JC: Guess not.
RW: Lets see if the main event can raise the roof off this place?!
Redd vs. Emerson (Non Title match)
The ballad by Testament hits as Redd makes his way to the ring. Slowly but surely. Walking to the ring. The fans cheer him, the last of a long dead breed. He his history, walking talking history.
RW: I don't know what to say.
JC: Say nothing, best thing you can do, please stay quiet.
RW (laughing)
Kryptonite by 3 Doors Down hits as Emerson comes out and he too is greeted by a chorus of cheers.
JC: Emerson might very well be the final World champion in SFT.
RW: yeah sad to say but SFT might be shutting its doors pretty soon.
JC: There aren't any more hero's in the world, and the days of such hero's are long since dead.
Emerson stands in the ring and turns around taking in the sights and sounds of the arena. Taking in every moment as if it were his last.
Redd and Emerson stand toe to toe as the bell rings.
RW: Here we go!
Redd starts it off with a running knee that catches Em off guard. Redd with an elbow drop but Em scatters out of the way. As Redd hits the mat, we see Em nail him with a bulldog as he’s getting up. Em covers him as the ref counts 1…………...2…………...kickout!
JC: Emerson almost had him.
Redd slow to get up shoulder blocks an advancing Emerson. Redd with double hands hits Emerson in each other.
RW: Damn, Emerson wont be able to hear the fireworks tonight.
JC: That really can cause hearing damage.
Redd headbutts Emerson and as Emerson goes down on one knee he kicks Emerson in the face.
RW: Redd showing that vicious side of himself.
Redd picks up Emerson and puts him on his shoulder as he starts to climb the turnbuckles.
JC: Is he?
RW: yeah I think hes going for a superplex!
As he reaches the top, Emerson punches Redd in the ribs and they tumble to the outside with Em taking less of the brunt.
JC: they look hurt.
Emerson gets in the ring, but sees that Redd is having trouble standing up. He gets out of the ring and goes to help Redd.
RW: what is he doing.
JC: Showing us why he is the peoples champ.
Emerson helps Redd to the back as the match is ruled a no contest.
RW: Great match nonetheless.
JC: Agreed.
RW: Well folks that is all we have for you tonight, see you all in a few weeks.
JC and RW in unison goodnight and godbless.
