Time seems to get away from me. I intended to speak a lot earlier but time got away from me. I notice this happens as I get older. When I was a lot younger I thought days and months and years would last forever. Now I know differently. And no I havent been fishing just working on my ranch, spending time with my friends and my Ma. I am all she’s got left these days and I take care of my family.
No matter what kind of man you are, if you take care of your family you are alright by me. No matter if you are a convicted criminal, if you are out there breaking the law but still take care of your parents or your kids then you are alright in my book.
But see my problem is now a days I cant seem to focus. I get away from myself. I try to take some time for me and I forget maself. How did all the adults before me do this? It seems we cant seem to get anything right and I keep losing myself. I forget what I was all about. What I stood for? What do I stand for?
I am not the man I think I was. I dont think I am real anymore. Does that even make any sense? I am a ghost. A ghost from a past that should have been let be.
And somehow through all this I got to face Mya Denton, our new SFT world champion. This is going to be one of my biggest challenges. I think Jamie underestimated her. Maybe because she is a woman. But there have been several women before her who have held the title, so to me it came as no surprise. She holds the highest belt in one of the oldest and greatest federations of all time. She should be proud, but she has been for the most part quiet. I like that. I like her. And I look forward to our match.
Mya you have a story you are telling, maybe the whole world is watching and witnessing. Maybe she is the storyteller for the world or maybe its just a handful who are her witnesses. Either way we can only see if she will rise with her own light or live in the shadows of the midnight king. For now people in the back still see her as an underling of Nirvana. Can she shake him off and be her own person? I am not a betting man but I do believe actions speak louder than words and I sure as heck cant wait till I see what her actions say not just about her but about her title reign.
Mya you are deep in tradition. Deep in the hearts of people who will not let this place go, we will not let it die nor let it fade. Are you with us? Or are you simply a temporary holder of that gold around your waist?
I guess I will find out soon enough.
