It was 1458. And I had been working with my father on a whaling vessel. We would go out to sea for months at a time. I was 14 at the time. This particular story will not be about my passing rather than about something else. Just listen.
It was mid may and we were sailing back home. We were a week out. I was homesick by now and hungering for my mothers cooking. Life on a ship can be tiresome, all we did was work and sleep. We ate fish every single day, it got to be tiring and sickening after a while. Repetition grows hatred. Trust me on that.
My name was Ian. And I lived to be 19 that particular lifetime. Two days before getting back home we were struck by an awful storm. I swear I could hear voices in that rain and wind. My father said the banshees were wailing. The captain was scared something fierce. He said if the rain and wind didnt take us the spirits in the storm would. We all went down below and waited the storm out, we almost capsized once. Several hours later it was done and we were all alive. All but the captain. He had been with us below, no one had seen him go back on top. Somewhere along the night he disappeared. No one saw him leave but he was gone all the same. All his belongings in his cabin were gone too. No one had an explanation for this. Some believed the he jumped into the sea, others thought he was taken by the spirits. Whatever the case, he was gone and we were left with no captain. We reached home and an investigation was put forth.
It was determined our captain had jumped into the sea, but most knew better. It was an unsolved mystery. A few hundred years later I ran into that old sea captain in Jeville. I asked him what happened that night, he did not remember, he did not remember his old life much barely his name. And so the mystery stayed a mystery to my chagrin.
And now hundreds of years later I am faced with a new mystery. The mystery of how Jackson Kent is still the IC Champion? This is no joke, trust me I have searched high and low for the punchline and have not yet found it. Can someone answer me how is Jackson Kent still the champion? Is it by sheer luck or dumb luck? There are so many unsolvable mysteries in this world and yet the Jackson Kent one is the biggest mystery of all.
Well Jackson your time has run out. Your time is at an end. Time to go back to being just a wrestler and no longer a champion. I am solving your mystery you can count on that.
