SFT Presents: Tuesday Night Titans (04/10/2018)

JC: Fans have been waiting all day long for the show to start. We’re here in one of the mist iconic venues in the world for a night that can only be described as a night of champions.

RW: Indeed, all 3 titles on the line John! What a night this is going to be.

JC: Indeed, in our main event Louis Cypher will be attempting to take the World Title from Jamo! But before we even get to that, Rumpke has to defend his Hardcore title against Emerson, as well as our the IC title being on the line in our first match of the night, where Andrew will be going up against Robert Saints!

RW: And another 3 way match jammed in there to boot. I’ve no idea how we’re actually going to fit it all in.

JC: So folks, grab yourself an ice cold beer, settle down and get ready for what promises to be an amazing night here on Tuesday Night Titans.

The music starts to fade away but the fans continue to cheer. The camera continues to pan around the arena for a few more moments, before finally zooming into the commentary table. It waits for a few moments, and JC looks a little uneasy.

RW: You don’t look well John.

JC: I’m fine, I just wish the camera would not do this!

RW: See, you know what the problem is right? Before, back a few moments ago, you were never uneasy about this moment of the show.

JC: I never had a chance to be, you are always too busy insulting me and telling me how badly I had done the intro.

RW: But that’s my point old friend. Clearly this new being nice to each other thing just isn’t working for you, and I don’t want you to feel bad at the start of each show. So what don’t I just go back to insulting you?

JC: No…

RW: Come on, you love it really. Why don’t we just call it “Constructive Criticism” instead?

JC: Randy, you and me being at each other’s throats all the way through Titans is not the answer.

RW: Bet you it would boost ratings!

JC: No Randy…. Be nice, and lets just get on with the show shall we.

RW: God you’re boring sometimes John, you really are!

JC: Robert Saints has been itching to get back to being a champion for awhile now. He has his shot tonight, what will he do with it?

RW: Robert will take advantage of this opportunity and be crowned SFT Intercontinental Champion!

JC: That's a possibility but Andrew has proven to be quite the competitor in flashes. Question is, which person will show up tonight?

Moments later, "Natural Born Killers" by Ice Cube begins playing over the arena's sound system. Andrew emerges from behind the curtain with the SFT Intercontinental Title hanging over his right shoulder. Andrew, makes his way down to the ring and slides in. Andrew gets up quickly and holds the SFT Intercontinental Title up high for all to see. He then hands the title over to the referee and retreats to his corner while waiting for the bell to ring.

The bell rings and both men close in on each other's positions. They lock up and Andrew manages to get around Robert Saints before locking a headlock in. Robert pulls Andrew back into the ropes and uses the momentum to get his head free. Meanwhile, Andrew runs to the opposite ropes before bouncing back to Robert Saints. Andrew leaps and connects with a flying closeline. The hard hitting blow sends Robert crashing to the ground. Andrew gets back up before bending over to grab onto Robert Saints. Once Andrew has Saints back to his feet, he hooks his head in before delivering a snap suplex that once again puts Robert onto his back. Yet, Robert seems to bounce up to his feet almost immediately after hitting the ground. Andrew gets up just after Robert and turns around to look for his opponent when he is hit with Saint's Row! Robert quickly pins Andrew.

Kickout!

JC: Andrew kicked out of one of Robert's finishers!

Robert seems surprised as well and briefly argues with the referee but that gets him nowhere. He turns around to see that Andrew is up. Robert goes to punch Andrew but the blow is parried. Andrew delivers a stiff kick to Robert's gut before hooking Robert's head. Andrew tried for a suplex but Robert is able to block the move before slipping out and somehow nailing "The Viper Cutter" out of nowhere. Robert pins Andrew.

WINNER: ROBERT SAINTS

RW: We have a new champion! Robert Saints!

JC: Andrew didn't show the skill that he has shown in the past but I don't think this is it for the young man. I'm certain that he will be back in the mix soon.

RW: Oh my!

JC: We know that song alright!

The camera zooms into the top of the ring ramp, and after a few moments Glenn Owen emerges from behind the curtain. He looks around the arena and makes his way down the ramp and walks towards the ring.

JC: Well the show gets even more amazing, Glenn Owen is here.

RW: Yes but what is he hear for?

Glenn walks into the centre of the ring as his music fades out. He stands motionless in the centre of the ring and takes a few moments to gaze around the arena. By this time fans are chanting his name.

After a few moments, be bends down and places his hand on the ring mat. There is stays, motionless for a few moments, then we start to hear him mutter to himself.

RW: What’s all this about then?

JC: Beats me.

He finishes muttering to himself and once again stands in the centre of the ring. No sooner is he fully on his feet, he music once again hits the PA system, and he makes his way back up the ring ramp, leaving all in the arena totally confused.

JC: Ok then…

RW: Well, that was err, interesting! He comes out, touches the ring, and leaves. I mean WTF? Is our producer losing his mind or something?

JC: Heaven knows! Either way, we have another match coming up.

RW: Well Jack just won this match in short time.

JC: Yup no time at all.

Then, "Chemical" by Crashdiet begins playing throughout the arena. Moments later, Rumpke emerges from behind the curtain with the SFT hardcore title around his waist and two bottles of alcohol in both of his hands. He staggers down the ramp before climbing into the ring. He walks over to his corner while staring at Emerson who in turn stares at the champ. Rumpke places both of the bottles down in the corner before taking the title off of his waist and hands it to the referee.

The ref holds the title up in the air to show that it is being defended on this night. The camera pans around to reveal many weapons that lay scattered around the ring and outside of the ring as well. The belt is lowered before the referee hands the belt to the timekeeper outside of the ring. Both, Emerson and Rumpke approach each other in the middle of the ring. Emerson has a stern look on his face as he looks at the Drunken Brawler. Rumpke responds to that look of Emersons with a smirk. This is going on while the referee explains to both fighters that there is no rules. He asks if they understand. Emerson responds by offering his hand to Rumpke.

JC: Emerson, pull that hand back, that man has no morals. He'll cheap shot you any chance he gets!

Rumpke's smirk reveals a puzzling smile as the bell rings. Rumpke extends his hand and embraces the shake both men pull on each other. Their strength seems as if it's a stalemate as both men move forward to look each other in the eye. Suddenly, both grips are released and these men take a few steps back while never taking their eyes off of each other.

Rumpke is the first to strike with a quick left handed jab that finds its way onto Emerson's mouth and that jab is followed up with a right handed hook. One that Emerson dodges before taking advantage of Rumpke's exposed back by latching onto it. Moments later, Emerson german suplexes Rumpke. The drunken brawler's head crushes a steel trash can and he grasps at his head while Emerson gets back up to his feet. He looks down at a baseball bat and starts to reach for it but stops himself as he looks at Rumpke laying on the ground grasping at his head.

JC: No!! Grab that bat! Break every bone in that sick fucks body with it Emerson! He would do it to you in a heart beat if the roles were reversed!

Instead, Emerson stands back and watches as Rumpke gets up. Both men's eyes lock once again. Rumpke throws a wild haymaker at Emerson but it is dodged. Emerson follows up with a hook punch that finds its mark. Emerson then fires another hook that also connects and knocks Rumpke to the ground.

RW: Emerson's slugging it out with the Drunken Brawler!

Rumpke smirks at Emerson while making his way up to his feet. Rumpke signals for Emerson to wait. Emerson nods in approval before watching Rumpke walk over to his corner and grab a bottle of Kentucky Cornshine. The top is popped and Rumpke begins downing the bottle.

JC: Okay, I'm dumbfounded; What the fuck is Emerson doing letting Rumpke drink? Doesn't he realize nothing good has ever came from Rumpke getting drunk in the ring?

RW: I'd bet that Rumpke was already drunk before he came to the ring. Regardless, I think that Emerson is making it to where Rumpke has no excuse for not giving it his all in this match. After all, Rumpke was the one to call Emerson weak. And so far, Emerson is showing all of us why he is strong if you read in between the lines John.

JC: That's the most intellegent thing I've ever heard you say Randy..

Rumpke kills the rest of the bottle and then looks at Emerson who has patiently waited for Rumpke to finish.. Rumpke gently tosses the bottle down onto the mat and nods at Emerson. Both men find a fighting stance and move closer to each other. Rumpke is the first to throw a left handed jab, one that is parried by Emerson; Emerson fires a left jab of his own that nails Rumpke in the nose. He follows up with a right handed hook that finds it's mark as well. The blow knocks Rumpke off balance. Emerson comes in to deliver another hook but the blow is cut off by a left handed uppercut from Rumpke that causes Emerson's knees to buckle. Emerson falls to the ground momentarily but quickly finds his way back up to his feet.

JC: Rumpke, not going for the kill after a knockdown!? What the fuck is going on?

RW: I think that this match so far has been a show of respect from both combatants. Will that last?

JC: Your guess is as good as mine Randy.

Emerson slightly shakes his head before bending over to pick up a steel chair. He looks at Rumpke who nods at Emerson. Emerson shakes his head no before slinging the chair to the ground. Both men lock up and Emerson manages to push Rumpke in a corner. He throws a couple of elbows at Rumpke before suddenly backing away from Rumpke and the corner. Rumpke explodes out of the corner and connects with "Hangover" out of nowhere. He pins Emerson

WINNER: RUMPKE

Emerson kicks out just after the three count. Rumpke gets off of Emerson, and offers his hand to the downed man. Emerson grabs Rumpke's hand and Rumpke pulls Emerson up and then raises his hand with Emersons. The crowd cheers for both men.

Harold: Glenn earlier tonight you came out to the ring, stood in the middle, bent down to touch the ring mat and then just…. Left! We all want to know why?

Glenn looks at Harold for a few moments.

Harold: do you have anything to say at all?

Glenn: Tell me Harold, how long have we been at this game?

Harold: Oh my, 17-18 years now?

Glenn: And tell me something old friend, what do you make of SFT these days?

Harold looks confused for a few moments.

Glenn: Seriously, I mean you’ve been here since the start and no doubt you’ll be here at the end. So I’m asking you directly, what do you think if SFT these days?

After pondering for a few moments, Harold responds.

Harold: I think we’ve alive and kicking, and I think you and others have done a great job to keep us alive.

Glenn: And that’s my problem Harold. To live…. To exist, is that really enough? Is existing all we want? We’re alive yes, sure. Here we are on Tuesday Night Titans, yes I get that. Hell I’m the reason for that. But to exist…. To exist is simple not enough!

Harold: I’m not following, are you saying that we’re not doing good enough?

Glenn: What I’m saying Harold is that in my opinion, we’ve forgotten who we really are. We’ve forgotten what once made us great. We all too often forget our heritage, and we just assume that showing up is all that we need to do. These bright lights, titles…. Glory, fame and all of that. It means nothing unless we know who we truly are.

Harold: Even if that’s true Sir, what exactly are you trying to say?

Glenn: It’s time Harold, very soon, it will be time to go back to reality! And I my friend..... I'm going to take us there...

Harold: Errr, what do you mean by that?

Glenn looks Harold up and down, shakes his head and then exits to the right, leaving a confused Harold standing alone with his microphone right before we go to commercials.

RW: And that is it! We got a new world champion!

JC: Louis Freaking Cypher!


Slayer comes out on the rampway again and starts playing Reign in Blood as Cypher holds his new world title.

As the show is coming to an end we see a siloutte on the rampway.


RW: I think thats.

JC: Yeah it is, Mr. Amazing is back in SFT!


The show fades as fans go wild.
