The scene is the airport in Las Vegas. Jude’s flight has just landed. The flight attendants tell the passengers they may begin unboarding. Jude stands up and gets his bag from the overhead compartment and waits for most of the passengers to start getting off. He has arrived almost a full week before Titans 127. and there is good reason for that. He specifically asked Harold to put the show in this city. Jude’s hope is that this is where Redd currently resides. Redd has called this place his 2nd home for sometime. Having worked at the casinos, places like Golden Nugget, the 4 Queens, Binions Horsehoe and other such places.
He hopes this will give him enough time to search for his brother. But hope is not something he puts too much faith in.
Jude finally exits his plane, he is wearing blue jeans, a white tshirt, black shoes. His blond hair is somewhat long, its been a while since he’s had a haircut or a decent shave.
He’s been trying to contact Redd for what seems like months. But to no avail. He has not answered any of his calls or texts. Almost as if his phone were disconnected. And Redd of course is not on any places online, not the way most people are these days. Redd is old school. Very old school. And Jude is much the same way.
He exits the airport and gets into the first cab he sees, the driver asks him where to. Jude says downtown, where the casinos are. The driver nods his head and they are off. After a lil more than 10 min they have arrived. Jude decides to start exploring, he has a room waiting at the MGM Grand, but he’ll get there later on in the day.
He tries his luck first at the Golden Nugget, he asks one of the pit bosses if he happens to know his brother, and shows him a picture of him on his phone. The boss says he knows of him, but he has not seen him in several weeks and that he is not employed at the Nugget. He tells him to try his luck at the Riviera. Which he does and gets mostly the same answer as the first place, he tries 2 other places and no luck. No luck yet. But he feels as if Redd is here, just needs to be found. He calls it a day and makes his way to the MGM and wants to settle in his room.
He takes another cab to his new destination and soon finds himself in the lobby. He approaches the front desk and is greeted. After a few minutes he is in his room on the 5th floor.
People talk about family. About how important family is, and I suppose it is. Sometimes we can pick and choose who we allow to be our family and other times, there are no choices involved. It just is as it is. And that is all there is. But my family, well what I have left of family is a little stranger than most. We never had what some might call a traditional family. No, not by any means. My brother and I were raised in a non traditional manner, a horrible manner in fact. But that was not our mothers fault. It had to do with our father. Some monsters should never be allowed to be called father. And yet it happens everyday. But I am not one to dwell too much on so called family. I will move on and leave that past where it deserves to be. Dead and buried.
I wonder what I will say to Redd when and if I find him. And I am starting to think that will be a big if.
If the world were made of such things, and trust me they are not. Nonetheless……
I guess I should concentrate on the other reason I am here. I am facing two other people. Shrimp and Louis Cypher. I am not sure what I should say about them. Thats funny though, me for a loss of words? Ha!
Shrimp I know very little about. Nor do I have the time nor patience to dig too much on him. Perhaps he hates himself a little? That would make sense, would it not, calling himself after seafood? I like shrimp with shrimp sauce and tobasco and maybe some lime and salt. I am not sure he understands what he in store for. I am not to be taken lightly and I feel that he is in fact not just taking me lightly but everyone in SFT so far. Oh well, people learn from their mistakes, let him learn that for himself. After all thats the only way anyone learns, from their mistakes. And yet some keep repeating the same mistakes. Some just never learn.
Then there is Louis Cypher. Louis knows me very well. Very well. And no matter how much he tries I am one monster he will never quite comprehend. He likes to talk about demons and hell. He is a fool. He knows nothing. At least not really. I laugh at him. And if he knew what I knew, he’d laugh at himself and run and hide in shame.
That is all I have to say about my opponents for today.
