We see Emerson packing up his bags as he is getting ready to go to Oregon.
“Well I made it to round two. And now I have a new partner, The Accountant. I honestly do not remember him. He might have been before my time. Who knows, after a while all the years start to blur together. I do not even know how long I’ve been here. I do not know if I have been in a Lethal Lottery before. I know I never won one that's for sure.”
Grabs shorts, tshirts, a few pants, and he’s got everything in a duffle bag all set to go.
Now I gotta get my plan ticket in order and honestly I kinda like flying. Beats driving in my hot car that's for sure. So I got lucky in the first round with a pairing with Jude. I think everyone kind of knew this was a slam dunk for me. I could of not even shown up and still would of cruised to the 2nd round. But now Jude has exited the Lethal Lottery and no one gets an easy ride from here on out. Now its do or die for me and everyone else. I like the efforts Reno Destiny did, Lucas of course, the newcomer here Candace. But I think I have a very trustworthy partner and I think we have a good chance of going on to the 3rd round of the Lethal Lottery. But really anyone can advance, that's how good everyone is in this tournament.
So our opponents for this 2nd round will be Eli Martin and Robert Saints. Now Robert I know very well. I just defeated him in a hard fought match less than a month ago. So I know he has to be eager to get payback and win this damn tournament and get a shot at yours truly one more time. Yeah I know he is. I’d be itching for a rematch if I were in his shoes.
Then there is the unknown factor, Eli Martin, who happened to lose in the first round but got lucky and got put back into the tournament and he is also our reigning Hardcore champion. But Eli right now seems more preoccupied with The Accountant and Jack Jones rather than this tournament. But as more luck would have it, he gets to face The Accountant, so he gets twice as lucky and in as much time. Good for him. But if he doesn't take his eyes off the past he might miss whats right in front of him. The real prize is what I wear around my waist. So he shouldn't let this shot go to waste.
Before I leave I have to stop at a friends house. Make some arrangements for myself incase things happen. You never know. You should always think ahead and plan ahead. Plan for all possible outcomes. And I have to make sure that I am covered.
Now I know I haven't been lighting the world on fire lately. But I don't have to anymore. In this tournament I have everything to lose and nothing to gain. If I make it all the way to the end and win the tournament then I keep my title. Big whoop. If I lose in this tournament I have to face the winner and defend the world title yet again. Seems that everyone is not seeing just how hard this is for me, and how easy it is for them.
Now beating Apokalypse and Twilight was hard. Apok went to sleep at the wheel and I don't see him doing that again but now he’s out of the tournament and has to wait his turn. Twilight though does not seem so concerned with the world title. I think for him if he wins it great, if he doesn't, no big deal. I like that, I try to be like that. In SFT and in life in general. Thats a good way to be.
Now back to getting my eye back on the ball. Eli and Robert. Now Eli has a choice he can keep looking for Jack Jones, and that boy can rassle, you anger him enough and its like waking up the incredible hulk, better to leave sleeping giants sleeping. But I think Eli has to figure that out for himself, and that's too bad I would love to face Eli when hes at his best and totally centered on this match at hand.
Then there is Robert Saints, the man who would be a god. You were given a golden opportunity not long ago and you couldn't get it done. You lost. And now you get a second chance are you gonna step up your game and show the world just what it means to be The Viper, or will you whither away under the massive spotlight that comes when you face a guy like me. Ohhhh look at me showing some ego, yea baby. Damn sorry I tried my best Austin Powers voice and failed miserably.
